Green, water and a hint of mystery
Between a mystery dating back more than 176,000 years, perched castles, a pentogliss or an aquazone, the Quercy Vert – Aveyron territory has something to surprise with enchantment.
Located at the gates of Montauban and in the north-eastern part of the Tarn-et-Garonne department, the Quercy Vert – Aveyron territory brings together a multitude of attractions, both historical and recreational. The perched castles of Bruniquel are one of the jewels of the Gorges de l’Aveyron, an undisputed setting for filming or lyrical concerts. The village which stretches out at the foot of its facades is classified “Most Beautiful Villages of France” . Neanderthals were also able to appreciate the environmental quality of the place, having settled there more than 170,000 years ago.
The territory of Quercy Vert – Aveyron is also preserved natural spaces such as the Gorges de l’Aveyron or the lakes converted into places for bathing in natural water. The Monclar-de-Quercy leisure center offers its Aquazone-Monclar park , recognized as the first floating water park in the region!
