66th Salon of Independent Artists of Tarn-et-Garonne

The Society of Independent Artists of Tarn-et-Garonne will open its annual Salon from December 3 to 21, 2024 in the premises of the Ancien Collège in Montauban where paintings and sculptures will be presented to visitors.

This exhibition will allow you to discover the works of local, even regional, artists who are members of the Society, offering diverse trends ranging from figurative to abstraction and even art brut.

The guest of honor this year will be Philippe VIEJO, a Montalbanese artist who describes himself as a traveling painter. His original technique consists of working with resin including shards of mirror or glass to give his subjects “slivers of life” as he sees them or has seen them during his wanderings. Material, movement and colors impose themselves, making human beings or animals bursting with energy emerge from their frames. Philippe Viejo exhibits successfully in France and abroad. His work will not fail to challenge you.

The opening of the exhibition, to which you are all warmly invited to meet the artists directly, will be held on Friday December 6 at 6 p.m. around the exhibition rooms.
