    L'Embarcadère in a few dates:
*1933: design by the city architect, Marcel Renard, of a 27m long and 13m wide vessel, with a stepped roof reminiscent of the hall of the Mouche slaughterhouses in Lyon (Tony Garnier). The architecture is emblematic of the reconstruction after the 1930 flood. The project was built in reinforced concrete by the Montauban company J. Allègre.
*April 20, 1935: inauguration of the Villebourbon covered market. Inside, meat and fish are sold. Outside, there are stands dedicated to gardening, fruits, vegetables, poultry, etc.
*1967: the bus station, established nearby, sets up offices, a waiting room, a hall and toilets there.> End of the 90s: the theater company "l'Arche de Noé" occupies the premises which take the name of Embarcadère.
*2001: the site welcomes the IUP Art plastique then, the association La Boite à Malice (circus).
*2005: registration as a Historic Monument and labeling 20th Century Heritage.
