Listed on the additional inventory of Historical Monuments in 2002, the church Saint-Sauveur has exceptional furniture, made of wood and marble, most of the rooms are classified as Historical Monuments.Numerous pieces of woodwork of the 17th and 18th centuries (organ case, stalls, doors, prie-Dieu, pulpit) from the Abbey of Belleperche, offer a remarkable Baroque ensemble. History 961: 1st mention of the church in the testament of Raymond I, Comte de Rouergue who gives "l'alleu and the church Saint-Sauveur" to the Abbey of Moissac. The existence of this alleu marks the presence of a village sketch near the early church from the 10th century. 1245 to 1270: The church of Saint-Sauveur is rebuilt in a sumptuous way. 1254: Pope Innocent IV in a Bull of July 8, grants, during 5 years, 40 days of indulgences to all those who would help to finance the end of works. Built in a Gothic style with cross vaulted nave and transept, vaulted ogives and aisles covered with a Romanesque broken barrel vault, the church will undergo several significant changes. Since the 13th century, the church of Saint-Sauveur has housed the relics of Saint-Alpinien (the humerus of the left arm, a right hip bone and a rib) whose first verirication dates from April 6th, 1279. The town festival has always been associated with the death of the Saint, on the 26th of April. During the processions a reliquary was transported through the city on a gilded wooden pavilion.
