Built at the end of the 15th century, the residence of the dean of the priory of Varen is characteristic of the defensive architecture of the end of the Middle Ages in Rouergue. The house, a real fortified house, adopts a rectangular plan on five levels. The deanery still retains domestic fittings (sinks, cupboards, windows with seat cushions) and two stone fireplaces, with hoods covered with wood and stucco, from the end of the 15th century or the beginning of the 16th century, French-style ceilings from the 17th century and plasterwork wall decorations from the second half of the 18th century.
