Welcome to Les Amis des Chats -Based in the southwest of France, Les amis des chats ensures a better life for hundreds of companion cats each year.Help us to help them.Who are we ?The 1901 law association "Les amis des chats" was founded in Roquecor in southwestern France in March 2000. Each year, it contributes to improving the well-being of hundreds of stray or free cats and companion cats in the villages.The association advocates human control of stray or free cats and organizes "Trap-Sterilize-Release" (PSR) programs for free cats in villages where we are authorized to act by order of the town hall. Cats that have been sterilized and returned to their village under the PSR program continue to live independent lives, but the population is controlled which is better for the welfare of the cats and for the people living around them. Learn moreLes Amis des chats advises on the sterilization of cats and provides financial assistance to modest owners through Sterilization Vouchers. The owner pays the normal price for the sterilization operation less the value of the voucher. Les amis des chats reimburses the veterinarian directly for the amount of the sterilization voucher. Within this framework, the association carries out an education program in English and French for children aged 7 to 11, which aims to guide the next generation in the responsibilities of the cat owner.
