Théâtre : Ma Séraphine

The history of art is full of examples of women whose
work has been made invisible -
Here is that of Séraphine
Louis, known as Séraphine de Senlis, housekeeper
and self-taught painter. In the rich house that she
maintains, some of his paintings adorn the walls
like a common tapestry would do. Until then
confined to leisure, Séraphine's work takes on a whole
another dimension when, on the occasion of a dinner organized
by his employers, the art dealer and collector
German, Wilhelm Uhde, spots his talent, comparing
already his paintings match those of Van Gogh.
