  • English bastide from the 13th century, known for its three wash houses, its market halls, its dovecote, its canal port and its walks along the Canal des Deux Mers.

  • This 13th century bastide is worth discovering with its shops, bars and restaurants. It is on Tuesday morning, the day of its emblematic market, that we advise you to go there. Since the creation of the bastide in 1283, it has been the unmissable meeting place for gourmets. In a colorful atmosphere, appetizing smells mingle with the good mood. Since the creation of the bastide in 1283, it has been the unmissable meeting place for gourmets. In a colorful atmosphere, appetizing smells mingle with the good mood. All local products are present: sun-drenched fruits and vegetables from the Garonne valley, free-range chickens, local charcuterie... and of course the stars of South-West good living: duck confit and foie gras! Every Saturday morning, a farmers' market is also held under the Place Nationale hall.
Also worth discovering: its three wash houses, its contemporary sculptures, its covered market halls, its dovecote, its port and the Canal des Deux Mers.
Valence d’Agen is the central town of the Deux Rives territory.
